The company specializes in manufacturing the Dongfanghong series diesel engines, which are a series of diesel engines with contemporary advanced levels developed in collaboration with the world-renowned Ricardo Engineering Consulting Company in the UK and the Southwest Research Institute in the US.

The company was founded in 1958. After more than 50 years of development, it now has four engine manufacturing plants and one fuel injection plant, with products covering two, three, four and six-cylinder diesel engines.
