Un-interrupted Power System (UPS):
This is a built-in auto voltage regulator with central main-circuit, controlled by micro-processor (MPU) which provides the protection against low and high voltage and gives uninterrupted power to the electric line with a backup of 15 to 20 minutes. These are used in various electronic devices like small servers, PABX, PC, freeze, television, micro-oven, washing machine and other sensitive electrical appliances during struck of normal electricity supply.
